Dolly Parton is honored at the Grand Ole Opry as stars and fans celebrate her life, music and lasting legacy days after her death.

Dolly Parton was honored in an emotional tribute at the "Grand Ole Opry" on Saturday night, Aug. 29, just days after the country music icon died at 80, as stars and fans gathered in Nashville to celebrate her remarkable life, music and lasting impact.

Carly Pearce was among the artists who stepped onto the stage during the special evening. She performed Parton's “Those Memories of You,” giving the crowd a moving reminder of the country legend's musical legacy.

Jelly Roll also took part in the tribute, adding his voice to the emotional celebration. Later in the evening, he joined other performers for Parton's famous song “9 to 5,” helping bring the crowd together through one of her most recognizable hits.

Fans played an important role in the night's tribute, too. Many arrived dressed in celebration of Parton's life, while others brought flowers and shared personal messages. A letter-writing station inside the venue gave visitors another chance to express their love and appreciation for the country star.

The Grand Ole Opry also looked back at Parton's long connection with the legendary Nashville stage. Videos highlighting important moments from her history with the venue were shown during the evening, bringing memories of her performances back to life.

Dan Rogers, a representative of the Grand Ole Opry, reminded the audience that Parton's influence reached far beyond her music. He pointed to the children who received books through her Imagination Library and the countless people she encouraged to chase their dreams.

The emotional tribute reached its final moments when Parton appeared on a screen performing “I Will Always Love You.” The powerful appearance gave the audience one more chance to hear her voice and reflect on the legacy she left behind.
