Congo patient admitted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital Quetta

Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) was confirmed in a patient under treatment at Fatima Jinnah Hospital in Quetta. A 25 -year -old patient from Chaman, shifted in the Isolation Ward after confirming the Congo virus. This virus is transmitted primarily through ticks and livestock, and in some cases, human-to-human transmission can occur. It should be noted that this year, the number of positive cases of Congo virus in Balochistan has increased to 4, one of which has passed away. Congo fever, also known as Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), is a tick-borne viral disease that can be transmitted to humans through tick bites or contact with the blood and tissues of infected animals. It is a serious disease with a high mortality rate, often resulting in severe bleeding and organ failure.
