KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued a written decision declaring the Sindh Building Control Authority's decision to seal former President Arif Alvi's clinic null and void.
The Sindh High Court in its judgment said that the SBCA did not give notice to the petitioner before sealing the clinic and did not give the petitioner an opportunity to clean up, which is a violation of fundamental rights.
The judgment of the court ordered that the SBCA immediately de-seal the dental clinic of Arif Alvi, the petitioner should approach the SBCA within 10 days for changing the status of the plot and the SBCA on the request decide in 45 days.
It should be noted that the Sindh Building Control Authority had sealed Arif Alvi's dental clinic in October and the Sindh High Court had ordered the de-sealing of Arif Alvi's clinic couple of days ago, the written decision of which has been issued today.
Earlier, Sindh High Court had reserved its decision on the petition to de-seal the dental clinic of former President Dr. Arif Alvi.
