KARACHI: A man accused of marrying a minor girl fled from court premises after his bail was rejected by the Additional District and Sessions Judge in Karachi.
During the hearing, the complainant's lawyer argued that the accused had married a 13-year-old girl. A case was registered against him at the Mominabad Police Station under the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act.
Despite the serious nature of the charges, the accused managed to escape from the courtroom following the rejection of his bail plea.
The court canceled the accused's bail after hearing the lawyer's arguments, on which the accused escaped from the courtroom after hearing the court verdict.
Later, the court sent the girl to the shelter home.
