Sunita Ahuja expresses her thoughts on Varun Dhawan being compared to Govinda

Sunita Ahuja, wife of veteran actor Govinda, recently shared her thoughts on comparisons between her son Varun Dhawan and her husband. Speaking with Hindi Rush, Sunita expressed confusion over why such comparisons are made. She also suggested that being likened to Govinda or Salman Khan might not always sit well with Varun.

"People compare Varun to Govinda, but I don’t understand why they do so," Sunita remarked. "He would also feel bad for being compared to Salman Khan and Chi-Chi bhaiya (Govinda).”

Reflecting on Varun’s childhood, she added, “Govinda worked with David Dhawan (Varun’s father) in 17-18 movies. Naturally, a little resemblance might be there. Since childhood, Varun has been a happy-go-lucky child.”

Govinda, who last appeared in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, has several upcoming projects, including Baahe Haath Ka Khel, Pinky Darling, and Len Den: It’s All About Business.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan was recently seen in Kalees’ Baby John and is set to star in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Additionally, he is gearing up for the action-packed war drama Border 2, featuring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, slated for a 2026 release.
