Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Actors flat mate arrested by NCB

In a major action in the Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Sidharth Pitani, who is a former flatmate and friend of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in a drug-related case.

“Pithani has been arrested from Hyderabad,” confirmed an NCB official.

According to media reports, Sidharth Pitani has been arrested from Hyderabad and the accused will be produced in the court today.

Furthermore, Pithani was among four people, who were present at Sushant’s home in Mumbai when he was found hanging in his room on June 14 last year.

On March 5, the NCB charge sheet was filed before a Mumbai Special NDPS Court, following two cases registered by the drug law enforcement agency after an intimation from the Enforcement Directorate which was probing the financial angles in Sushant’s death.

The Central Bureau of Investigation and the Narcotics Control Bureau have questioned Pithani in the past. In fact, he was quizzed by the CBI for several days in a row in September 2020.

Fans pay a teary-eyed tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput on birth anniversary

Fans of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who said to have committed suicide at his Bandra residence on June 14,  2020, are remembering him on his birth anniversary on January 21.

Fans flooded Twitter with images, GIFs, and popular quotes by Sushant Singh and recalled how sincere and intellectual he was.

Several Twitter users expressed how much they miss their favourite actor and how they wish he could come back.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 at his Bandra home. The actor’s father, KK Singh, had lodged a complaint with the Patna police on July 25, accusing Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and others. In the FIR, he had also accused Rhea of siphoning off crores from the actor’s bank account.

After KK Singh’s FIR, Rhea moved the Supreme Court and a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe was ordered. The case is also being probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate.

More About The Late Actor:

Sushant Singh Rajput began his acting journey with Ekta Kapoor’s Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. He then played a leading role in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, which made him a household name.

The show starred his then girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, as the female lead. Sushant then made a transition from TV to Bollywood by playing a leading role in 2013 film Kai Po Che.

His last theatrical release was Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore, a light-hearted drama that hit the screens in September 2019. Sushant’s last film, Dil Bechara, released posthumously on July 24, 2020.

The film introduced Sanjana Sanghi and was the Hindi remake of Hollywood blockbuster The Fault In Our Stars.

There is no doubt over the love that cricket fans around India and abroad share for Dhoni. However, his life became a famous story after the release of his biopic, 2016 film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

After hearing the news of Sushant’s untimely demise, former Indian skipper MS Dhoni had reportedly gone into isolation.

After Sushant’s tragic death, a video had surfaced on social media in which a fan paid a teary eyed tribute to the actor with a piece of artwork.

In the video, MS Dhoni is looking towards the sky in his Chennai Super Kings jersey. There’s a message as he looks up which reads, “Goddd…I’m taking GRS. I hope it’s a no-ball. He is….not out and he still needs to play. SSR you are a king man.”

On top of Dhoni’s picture is Sushant wearing the Indian jersey with No. 7 on it and besides the jersey, the number ’34*’ (34 – NOT OUT) is written, which signifies Sushant’s age.
