Sidharth Shukla, Bigg Boss 13 winner, left a deep void amidst his fans, fellow celebrities and friends as news of his passing away surfaced today (Thursday).
All of 40, Sidharth Shukla was pronounced no more when he was brought to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The postmortem is underway and the body will be released soon. “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” the senior Cooper Hospital official said.
According to reports, Sidharth Shukla’s ladylove and Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Shehnaaz Gill was shooting and she immediately left the shoot after hearing the shocking news.
The actor’s painful and early demise has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and left fans and netizens mourning over the devastating loss.
Shehnaaz Gill “is not fine”
Actress Shehnaaz Gill’s father has said that he spoke to his daughter after the death of her boyfriend, Shukla. Her father said that Shehnaaz is “not fine” and his brother Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to be with her.
Moreover, a number of celebs, as well as his fans, flooded Twitter with sincere and deepest condolences.
The official Twitter handle of Bigg Boss expresses deep grief over the Balika Vadhu star’s death. “Some people come into our lives and leave footprints. What we have once loved can never be lost. With a heavy heart and moist eyes, we bid goodbye, You’ll be a part of us, always, forever and more. Sid, you’ll be missed. #RIP #SidharthShukla.”
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar mourned the demise. He tweeted, “Really sad to know about the passing away of #SiddharthShukla. I didn’t know him personally but it’s heartbreaking to know of such a talented life gone so soon. Om Shanti.”
Bigg Boss 13 runner-up Asim Riaz shared multiple adorable snaps with Shukla to reminiscence the good times with him. “I’m gonna meet you in heaven brother…RIP #sidharthshukla,” he wrote.
Politician Rahul Gandhi has also paid a heartfelt tribute to Sidharth Shukla by writing, “My condolences to the family, friends and fans of Siddharth Shukla. The news of the actor’s demise at such a young age has sent a shock wave throughout the country.”
Legendary actress Madhuri Dixit tweeted, “It’s just unbelievable and shocking. You will always be remembered.”
Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik is “numb,” she posted on her Instagram handle.
Balika Vadhu star Avika Gor remembered Sidharth Shukla saying: “I’m extremely shocked and have no words hearing this news. It’s just so unbelievable. He was kind and an amazing soul. Though haven’t met him too many times but he was sweet and pure-hearted and a gentleman. Prayers for his soul and his family,” she said.
Famed comedian Kapil Sharma tweeted, “Oh god, it’s really shocking n heartbreaking, my condolences to the family n prayers for the departed soul. Om Shanti.”
Versatile actor and comedian Sunil Grover expressed shock over Shukla’s death. “Shocked and sad to know about Sidharth Shukla. Gone too soon. Prayers. Rest in peace,” he tweeted.
Sidharth Shukla began his career as a model and made his acting debut in the Indian TV show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na.
Born on December 12, 1980, he was widely known for his role in the long-running television show Balika Vadhu.
Apart from his television appearances, Sidharth Shukla made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania where he had a supporting role.
His last screen outing was Ekta Kapoor’s popular show ‘Broken But Beautiful 3‘ in which he played the role of Agastya.
The versatile actor is also linked with his Bigg Boss season 13 co-contestant Shehnaaz Gill. The couple has created many romantic moments together and left their fans to gush over their chemistry.
They both share a great bond and also did a few singles together. They featured together in Neha and Tony Kakkar’s Shona Shona and Darshan Rawal and Neha Kakkar’s Bhula Dena and Dil Ko Karaar Aaya.
Note that Shukla is survived by his mother and two sisters.
