KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Davison to organize a rally to mobilize the public for upcoming local government (LG) elections in Karachi on Sunday (today).
The PPP rally in connection with local government elections in Karachi to commence from Bilawal House Karachi at 1 pm and ended at Star Gate Airport, Shahreh e Faisal.
The PPP rally led by PPP Karachi Division President and Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani.
General Secretary PPP Sindh Waqar Mehdi, Provincial Minister Shehla Raza, Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab and other leaders also address the rally.
Earlier, PPP organized a public gathering at Eidgah Ground Nazimabad regarding the local government elections campaign in Karachi. A large number of PPP leaders and people participated in the gathering.
It should be noted that in the meeting of the People’s Party Karachi Division, it was decided to take out a grand central election rally from Bilawal House Chowrangi to Star Gate, via Metropole Hotel Shahrah Faisal on January 8.
It was also decided in the meeting that all the chairman, vice chairman, and candidates for councillors, party workers, and party voters will participate in the rally in large numbers.
Apart from this, rallies and gatherings will be held in different USs of all districts daily.
Later, during the meeting, the party leaders were given the task of electing Jayala Mayor while directing the preparations for local body elections in Karachi-Hyderabad.
On the other hand, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that local government elections will be held in Karachi and Hyderabad in any case, PPP should start the vigorous campaign of local government elections.
He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister, and the People’s Party want local body elections in Karachi on January 15.
