Dr. Sania Nishtar confers the honour for 100 Most Influential Women of 2020

Govt launches Ehsaas

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar makes it to the list of 100 inspiring and influential women worldwide for 2020.

An absolute honour for Pakistan as Dr. Sania Nishtar, heads the Oxford University research into a coronavirus vaccine, included in 100 Most Influential Women.

She has received the honour for her work and contribution to poverty alleviation, global health, and development.

The dramatic impact of Covid-19 presents us with a once-in-a-generation chance to build a fairer world and bring an end to poverty, inequality, and the climate crisis. For this, women must be equal, empowered stakeholders,” said Dr. Sania.

Moreover, since 2018, she has been spearheading the transformative Ehsaas Poverty Alleviation program, which has improved the livelihoods of millions of Pakistanis.

She has helped empower the masses by taking the necessary first steps toward developing a welfare state in Pakistan.

Social protection of masses is the top priority of govt: Dr Sania Nishtar

Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has said the social protection of masses is the top priority of the government.

Speaking during a visit to Ehsaas Kafalat Center in Multan on Saturday, she said multi-billion Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme was launched to provide financial assistance to the deserving people.

Sania Nishter said Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme has been devised on the desire of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide social and economic aid to the deserving segments of the society.

She said 200 billion rupees will be distributed among fifteen million deserving families till 30th of this month.

She said twenty five Ehsaas Kafalat Centers have been established in District Multan.
