  • Twinkle Khanna took to Instagram Reels to share a glimpse of her new interview with well-known chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
  • They discussed recipes, his career as a cooking show host and more.
  • Twinkle asked Sanjeev, whom he would like to see in his biopic.

Twinkle Khanna shared a sneak peek of her latest interview with Sanjeev Kapoor, a well-known chef, on Instagram Reels on Saturday. They talked about his cooking show hosting career, recipes, and other topics. Additionally, she inquired about his rumored biopic. Twinkle inquired about Sanjeev’s preference for a role in his biopic. In response, the chef asked in Hindi, “Where is Akshay Kumar?” Twinkle wore a fake moustache and said Akshay could put it on and easily “pass off” as Sanjeev, who has always had his signature moustache.

Next, Sanjeev said Twinkle looked “outstanding” when she wore the fake moustache herself. She then recalled how Dimple Kapadia, a mother actress, used to make fun of her for having a moustache as a child. “Actually, when I was a kid, my mother used to tease me (since) I had a natural moustache,” she informed Sanjeev. “If you have a moustache, it should either be like Nathulal or not be there at all,” she used to say to Nathulal, “muchi ho to Nathulal jaisi ho, warna na ho.”

The actor-turned-author was referring to a line from the 1964 film Sharabi in which Amitabh Bachchan says, “Mooch ho toh Nathulal ji jaise ho warna na ho” (“If you have a moustache, it should either be like Nathulal or you should not have one at all”)

In the video posted on YouTube, Sparkle kept on wearing the phony mustache as she plated a feast during a cooking rivalry with Sanjeev. When Twinkle finally took off her moustache, he declared her the winner and cracked up in laughter. Sharing a clasp from the meeting on Instagram Stories, Sparkle expressed, “Mooch ho to Nathulal jaise’… except if we’re discussing the most famous mooch on TV. As he welcomes the legendary Sanjeev Kapoor to The Icons, he is a household name who makes the guest feel like a member of the family. The entire interview can be viewed on Tweak India’s YouTube channel. If you adore him as much as we do, please leave a heart emoji in the comment section.”

Remarking on the video, a fan stated, “Wow mam, your look is marvelous, and your mustache sort of seems to be Charlie Chaplin’s.” “Mr. Jethalal left the chat,” another said. He was referring to Jethalal Champaklal Gada, a character on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah played by Dilip Joshi, who also has a moustache.

Twinkle, who has two children with actor Akshay Kumar—Aarav and Nitara—and is married to him, made her acting debut in 1995 with Barsaat. She gave up acting after the 2001 film Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Twinkle published her first book, Mrs. Funnybones, in 2015. She also published Pyjamas Are Forgiving (2018) and The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad (2017). On Instagram, she frequently posts witty and funny posts.
