According to ‘Variety,’ she will take the stage on April 11 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre for a 14-week limited engagement that will run through July 16.

“When I first saw this musical I fell instantly head over heels in love. I watched from the edge of my seat, hanging onto every word of every song,” JoJo tweeted about it.
“This show is a full-on feast for the senses and the opportunity to play Satine feels like the culmination of so many dreams. I cannot believe I get to join this phenomenal cast and company!!!! You guys blow me away!!!”
JoJo, whose full name is Joanna Levesque, will co-star with Derek Klena, who will reprise his role as Christian. The story is set in 1900s France and follows a charming young composer who travels to Paris and falls in love with Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge.

She has appeared in the films “Aquamarine” and “RV,” both of which she co-starred with Robin Williams.
‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ is the stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film of the same name. It premiered on Broadway in 2019, starring Tveit and Karen Olvio, and went on to sweep the Tony Awards with 14 nominations and ten wins. The jukebox musical, directed by Alex Timbers, features songs by Elton John, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Tina Turner, Madonna, and dozens more.
