Selena Gomez to produce a psychological horror-thriller ‘Dollhouse’

US popular singer Selena Gomez likely to star in a horror movie based on New York City’s fashion scene.

Selena Gomez to star in STXfilms’ psychological horror-thriller Dollhouse along with Shawn Levy and his company 21 Laps.

According to media reports, the singer will chronicle the city’s “elite fashion scene” and as described, is a psychological thriller.

Gomez will also produce the project, reports added.

“Selena’s involvement is an exciting direction for this project. She is supremely talented as both a star and a producer. Teaming Selena with Shawn and Dan’s expertise in the horror-thriller genre will elevate Dollhouse and we couldn’t be more thrilled by the way this is being developed,” shared chairman STXfilms Motion Picture Group.

Earlier in August, Gomez joined hands with Hulu’s comedy series Only Murders in the Building.

The singer also revealed about why she had deleted her social media applications around two years ago.

She said, “I’m very vocal about technology. I have not personally for two years had any social media on my phone – though I use the platform, I make sure I approve things I want to write – but I don’t look at it. It’s not on my phone,”

“I believe heavily that there is something about social media and it’s technology being blamed for increases in loneliness and disconnection … I get pretty fired up about it.”

In her latest interview, the former Disney star opened up about her relationship with Bieber and how it felt ‘claustrophobic.’

“My personal life was out everywhere. It felt very claustrophobic and just…I felt very trapped,” she told.

Years later, Gomez is in a much better place and has full control of her life and what parts of her life go public and what go private.

“I am in full control of my life and everything that I do, what is out there, everything. I would like to say, yes. I am in charge of everything in my life,” she said.

She also opened up about her bipolar disorder and how she would always try her best to be truthful and sincere to her fans about her feelings and emotions.

“I have always had so many different emotions and I didn’t know how to control them quite well,” she said.

“It was complicated. But I think I’m happy to understand it. Once I did find out more about who I was, I was proud. I also felt comfortable knowing that I wasn’t alone and I was going to get through it. So I will always be passionate about that. It’s something I will continue to talk about,” she added.

Selena Gomez’s cosmetic brand ‘Rare Beauty’ is launching next month

The ‘Lose You Love Me’ singer Selena Gomez is all set to launch her own beauty brand ‘Rare Beauty’ online and at Sephora stores on September 3.

Selena had announced the makeup line earlier this year and has put out an open casting call for people who would like to star in advertisement campaigns for the company.

However, the company has shared sneak peeks at the forthcoming colourful lipsticks, eyeliner and more on their Instagram page.

The singer wrote: “This is makeup made to feel good in, without hiding what makes you unique.”

“You know, I live in a time where it’s all about-face. It’s all about makeup. It’s all about how you look in a lot of ways and that can be exciting and fun but it can also be a bit dangerous”, Gomez added.

Selena Gomez , in new video promotion, said: “I wanted people to feel like makeup is something you can enjoy — it’s not something that you need. And I felt like that’s kind of who I am.”
