Bollywood actress Radhika Apte, who is popularly known for her bold roles, opened up about how her marriage was only a ticket to get a visa in easier way.
Radhika Apte always fights what’s right against societal wrongs in majority of her films and TV series.
However, in a chat with actor Vikrant Massey, the Raat Akeli Hai starlet admitted she got married because it made it ‘easier to get a visa’.
Answering a question about when she got married, she responded: “Well, when I realized that it is easier to get a visa when you are married. I think there should be no boundaries.”
“I am not a big marriage person, I don’t believe in the institution and got married because visa was really a problem and we wanted to live together. Well I think that’s not fair,” she said.
Radhika Apte tied the knot to a British musician Benedict Taylor back in 2012.
Earlier, she was a stage actress and made her film debut in the 2005 film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!.
Apte will appear as Savitri, a village girl in Sunil Sukhthankar’s untitled Marathi film. She will also be seen in Sunil Doshi’s Waiting Room, a thriller which will mark her entry into Bollywood.
Furthermore, she will also star in Akash Khurana’s Life on Life, about a bunch of youngsters working in a BPO and Amol Palekar’s untitled Marathi film.
