Mariyam Nafees wrote heartfelt note on death of Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot

Mariyam Nafees

Pakistani actor Mariyam Nafees sheds light on the death of Sri Lankan man Priyantha Kumara, who was tortured to death by factory workers and later burned to death in Sialkot.

Turning to Instgaram, the Kuch Na Kaho actress wrote a heartfelt note over Priyantha’s death.

Sharing Priyantha’s picture with his family, the actress wrote, “Musafir tha. Pardesi tha. Tumhare mulk mein apne hissay ka rizq lene aya tha. Mehmaan tha. Ghair musalman tha, Arbi parhna na jaanta tha. Usko na maloom tha Kalma likha hai ya Durood. Phaarh kar phenk diya, gunah kiya?”

Expressing her anger, the actress said, “Agar koi deewana anjaane mein Pak kitaab ka safah pharh kar phenk de tou kya karoge? Maar daaloge? Jala daaloge? Pagal deewane pe dunya ka koi asool laagu nahi hota, usi tarah, ghair Musalman par Sharai qawaneen laagu nahi hote. Arbi parhni nahi aati thi, shaoor hi na tha ke kya likha hai. Samjha dete ussay, araam se, pyaar se, wazahat kardete ke yeh Durood likha hai. Us pe humare Nabi ka naam likha hai. Muskurate, samjhaate – woh sharminda sa hojata. Woh maazrat karta, kehta ussay maloom na tha.”

“Uski Maa ko ab tak uski raakh mil chuki hogi. Biwi bachon ko. Un sabko kaun sabar dilayega ab? Jiske naam pe tumne usko maar daala, jala daala, woh Nabi, woh Khuda tumhein muaf karega? Mera Khuda, mera Nabi, mera Deen mohabbat aur shafqat karna sikhata hai. Muaf karna sikhata hai,” she further said.

It should be noted that the horrific incident took place on Wazirabad Road in Sialkot. It is being said that the man allegedly tore the poster, which said, “Labbaik Ya Hussain,” and threw it in the trash.

According to the latest report, PM Imran Khan promises severe punishment for all those responsible for the mob lynching incident in Sialkot.
