PDM Bahawalpur Rally to take place tomorrow at Chowk Seraiki

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally will take place in Bahawalpur tomorrow (Sunday), under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

According to sources, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and former prime minister and PPP leader Yousuf Raza Gilani will also attend the rally.

The rally will pass through Bandra Bridge, Model Town C Chowk, Fateh Chowk, Model Town B, and reach Toll Plaza Sutlej Bridge.

All three leaders, Fazlur Rehman, Maryam Nawaz and Yousuf Raza Gilani will address the rally at Chowk Seraiki.

A spokesman for the district police said the administration had not yet given permission for the rally.

Warning notices have been issued to the organisers to cancel the rally and the Panaflexes and billboards in the city advertising the rally have been removed, he said.

The police spokesman added that cases have been registered against local PDM officials and workers for violating coronavirus safety protocols.

PDM Larkana: Opposition’s anger clearly declares its downfall, Shibli Faraz

Responding to the PDM Larkana leadership, Minister for Information Shibli Faraz said that Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto have changed their political qiblas for the sake of their own benefits and interests.

In a video message about the statements of Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto, Senator Shibli Faraz said that souls of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto must be suffering as worst opponents of their philosophy are at their home today.

He said that everyone is aware about the language which was used by Nawaz Sharif for Benazir Bhutto in past.

The information minister said that he said that the politics of PDM is based on a personal vendetta.

He added that Maryam Nawaz’s anger clearly declares the fact that the PDM is in a state of disarray.

The minister clearly warned the Opoosition that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be blackmailed by them, this time there is no chance of getting NOR like in the past, he said.

Shibli Faraz added that Imran Khan is the key to the future hope and development of this country.

PDM Leadership to meet in Islamabad on Dec. 8 to form a stronger joint team

The Pakistan Democratic (PDM) leadership will meet in Islamabad on December 8.

According to sources, the PDM leadership will review options including resignations from assemblies, conducting long march or holding negotiations with the government.

The meeting is also expected to discuss matters related to the formation of a joint team for the back-door contacts.

Recommendations in this regard have been sought from the political parties of the alliance.

However, the Local administration of Lahore had rejected a request from PDM leadership to hold a public gathering at the Minar-e-Pakistan owing to rising COVID-19 cases.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik while divulging details on the reasons behind the rejection, had said that only 300 people are allowed to gather under the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

“Even this permission is for the wedding ceremonies,” he had said.

Earlier, while addressing the PDM Multan rally, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman had said that there would be protests all over the country on Friday and Saturday against the violence in Multan.

He had also congratulated the people of Multan for participating in the successful and historic gathering.

Imran Khan is trying hard to bring back Nawaz Sharif, says Sheikh Rasheed

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday said that if governments could be overthrown by rallies, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) staged a 126-day-long sit-in. PM Imran is ready for a consultation but will not discuss NRO with the opposition, he added.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore, Sheikh Rasheed said that the Pakistan Army and the government stand on the same page and termed it a success of democracy.

Speaking about Opposition party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he said Imran Khan is trying to bring back Nawaz Sharif while cases against ‘my friend’ Shehbaz Sharif are also serious.

The minister also claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will refuse to accept decisions of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) which are against democratic values.

He also added that the Prime Minister is not going anywhere; however Pakistani politics can see some major disturbances.

Rasheed further said 90 percent people of this country salute the services being rendered by the Army on the border and in the country.

“Only 10 percent defeated elements are harping on their selfish agendas,” he added.
