After the UK and Bahrain, Saudi Arabia’s health authority has also approved Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) made the announcement after Pfizer submitted a request to approve registering the vaccine.
According to the details, SFDA will examine the samples from each of the vaccine’s samples before using it to ensure its effectiveness.
“Procedures necessary for its import and use will begin”, the statement said.
It should be mentioned here that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been used by tens of thousands of people in Britain after the vaccination program started in the UK earlier this week.
