It’s award season right now, and following the LSAs, the celebs headed to Manchester for the IPPA Awards 2023. Sakina Samo is a talented Pakistani television actress who speaks out on all global and social concerns. She has recently called out major Pakistani celebs who are not speaking out for the Palestinian people. Well, the actress also reposted Fatima Bhutto’s post about it. Sakina Samo sent a strong message to Pakistani actors after they remained silent about the terrible circumstances that Palestinians are in post-war.

She wrote in her post, “Indeed Pathetic. They want work from the western industry, endorsements etc etc etc”. Fatima Bhutto’s post says, “All these silent Brown celebs and influencers? Where did you go? Was your activism only as far as “chai tea is tea tea”?

Remember that the international media and celebrities are speaking for the Palestinian people. People in Pakistan are also speaking out, however, most Pakistani celebrities are remaining mute on a major subject. Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Saba Qamar, Wahaj Ali, Sana Javed, Humaima Malick, and many more famous Pakistani actors have remained mute on the atrocities committed against Palestinians.

On the Palestine issue, Pakistani social media users have been fairly outspoken and have posted in support of Palestinians across all social media platforms. They are openly criticizing prominent Pakistani celebrities for remaining silent. View comments:

Pakistani Celebs Raise Their Voices For Palestine Amid Israel-Gaza War

Pakistani celebs have spoken out in favour of Palestine’s independence.
People from all around the world have been speaking out.
Leaders demanded an end to the territorial dispute immediately.

Pakistani celebrities have spoken out in favour of Palestine’s independence as the death toll in Gaza rose to 436 as a result of Israel’s ferocious airstrikes in retaliation for Hamas attacks.

As of Monday, 81 children and 61 women have died in Gaza, and more than 2,000 people have been injured.

The most recent clashes broke out when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on Saturday, killing Israeli troops and kidnapping civilian and military leaders, including some foreigners.

People from all around the world have been speaking out about the attack and urging international leaders to take action while the conflict has gone on.

A number of Pakistani celebrities, including Saba Qamar, Yumna Zaidi, and Dananeer Mobeen, expressed their continued support for Palestine on social media.

As a result of Saturday’s unexpected strikes by Hamas, which has long fought against Israeli colonization of Palestine, Pakistani political leaders also harshly denounced Israel’s “disproportionate reaction.”
