Pakistan’s popular singing sensation Asim Azhar has announced a tributary single for fans after the world cup as he celebrates Pakistan’s historic win against India on Sunday.

The Ghalat Fehmi singer took to his Twitter to announce a celebratory single for his entire fanbase and the cricket lovers.

“Kal raat ki khushi mein…new single releasing after world cup [heart emoticons] first song of the album [folded hand emoticons],” shared Asim Azhar.

He further assured his fans saying: “There. I said it. It’s a promise.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s cricket team made history on Sunday after thrashing India with a record-breaking 10 wickets. The match marked the first time Pakistan ever defeated India in the world cup.

Apart from the public and fans, many celebrities were equally overwhelmbed by the performance. Stars including Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Mehwish Hayat and Asim Azhar shared videos and wishes on Twitter and Instagram.

Afridi claims how Indian players extended apology after being beaten by Pakistan

Former Pakistan’s Cricket captain Shahid Afridi has made a claim that Indian cricketers have asked for forgiveness from their team on multiple occasions after losing the cricket match to Pakistani players.

Boom Boom Afridi in an interview, said that he has always enjoyed playing against the Indians and on some occasions in which Pakistan beaten them, the neighbours extended an apology.

“I have always enjoyed playing against India. We’ve beaten them so much that they used to ask us for forgiveness after the match,” Afridi said.

“I have enjoyed a lot playing against India and Australia, you have more pressure. They are big teams.”

However, the former cricketer’s comment may result in a stir reaction Indian players.

Furthermore, in the Test format, Pakistan won 12 from 59 matches against India while the men in blue won nine with the remaining 39 matches ending in a draw.

As for the ODI format, the green shirts garnered 73 wins from 132 matches.
