PSL 2021: Karachi Kings will continue their campaign against Multan Sultans

Karachi Kings (KK) and Multan Sultans (MS) are all set to face each other ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 here at national Stadium today.

Karachi Kings have won the toss and opted to bowl in the Qualifier game against Multan Sultans at 3pm today (Saturday), under the supervision of ICC Elite Panel umpire Michael Gough and Rashid Riaz.

The winners of the qualifier between Multan and Karachi will qualify for the November 17 final.

On the other hand, Former champions Peshawar Zalmi locking horns with Lahore Qalandars in the first eliminator at the National Stadium Karachi today at 8PM.

PSL 5: South African icon Faf du Plessis to land in Karachi for the first time on Nov. 10

Ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 remaining matches, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis to arrive Karachi for the first time on November 10.

Faf du Plessis will land in Karachi to join Peshawar Zalmi squad for PSL 5 playoffs, set to begin from November 14 at National Stadium.

England’s Samit Patel – who will play for Lahore Qalandars – is the first player to arrive in Karachi on November 6.

Patel said in a video statement after his arrival that he’s looking forward to the play-offs of the PSL that will begin from November 14.

“I’ve arrived in Karachi and looking forward to the play-off stage of Pakistan Super League and hope that Qalandars can win the trophy,” he said in the statement.

Qalandars’ David Wiese and Dan Villas will arrive in Karachi on Saturday while Ben Dunk will arrive during the wee hours on Sunday.

PSL 5: Here’s how you can get the cash refunds

PSL 5 tickets refund

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced to refund Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 ticket cost for the remaining four matches that were called off due to coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan, from next week.

However, the ticket refunds will be carried out in two phases:

Phase 1

During the first phase, which runs from 13th July to 5th August, the tickets of the five group matches along with the 29th February washed-out contest in Rawalpindi will be returned.

Phase 2

The second phase will run from 6-29th August during which the tickets of the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the Final will be repaid.

The six-week-long refund process is the only opportunity for all customers to receive their refunds.

Timings and Refund Centers

The tickets will be processed daily from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm from the designated TCS Express Centres in Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Burewala, Chakwal, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhang, Karachi, Khanewal, Lahore, Layyah, Lodhran, Mian Channu, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rahim Yar Khan, Raiwind, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sialkot, Sukkur, and Vehari.

To avail the cash refund, the ticket holders should provide original, untampered tickets which will be validated by the TCS staff.

Wearing masks have been made mandatory for entering the TCS Express Centres for the ticket holders to curb the spread of Covid-19. The holders should strictly follow the precautionary measures provided by the government.

Moreover, the PCB is looking to organize the remaining PSL matches in November this year, however, it will result in losses worth millions to the board.
