The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has on Tuesday announced that the crescent for the month of Ramadan has been sighted in Pakistan.
Pakistan will observe the first day of Ramadan on Wednesday, April 14 after Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad made the announcement after the session in Peshawar.
He announced that Ramazan 1, 1442 Hijri, will fall on April 14, 2021.
However, the Muslims will observe the first Taraweeh prayers tonight.
The regional and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees also held meetings in different parts of the country to support the Central Committee to reach a conclusion.
Yesterday, the crescent for the month of Ramadan had been sighted in Saudi Arabia, the Supreme Court has announced on Monday.
In a statement issued by the Saudi Supreme Court, Tuesday (April 13) marks the first day of Ramadan.
