Maryam Nawaz's counsel seeks adjournment of appeal in Avenfield reference

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has on Wednesday ensured the incumbent PTI government that she won’t go anywhere till she sends home the “selected” rulers.

Taking to Twitter, Maryam Nawaz said that I was just sick for a few days, the trembling government hoped that Maryam might abroad for treatment. To dampen your hopes, let me tell you that I have no intentions of going anywhere until I send you back home.”

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz had suspended all her political activities as she did not feel well.

According to the spokesperson of the party, Maryam Nawaz is not feeling well as she has a fever and sore throat.

Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb added that the coronavirus test of Maryam Nawaz has also been conducted.

Earlier, JUI-F and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s health condition deteriorated.

Sources in JUI-F said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been suffering from fever for two days while he is at his residence in Dera Ismail Khan.

Moreover, the Vice President had tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

PML-N MPA Hina Parvez Butt confirmed in her tweet. She said that Maryam Nawaz’s COVID-19 test was declared negative. Maryam is suffering from some infection, for which she is getting treatment, the MPA said.

Babar Awan Lambasts At Maryam Nawaz For Pressurizing NAB

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Babar Awan has said that Maryam Nawaz is a “convicted” corrupt leader and herself says “come arrest me”.

Speaking to BOL News’ program Tajzia with host Sami Ibrahim, Babar Awan has termed the decision by Islamabad High Court (IHC) about the Chairman Senate much right.

The IHC has on Monday dismissed a reserved judgment on whether the PPP’s petition against the election of the Senate chairman was admissible or not.

Awan further said that the ongoing matters in the parliament “can’t be challenged in court”.

Lambasting further at PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, he said that no one has the right to interfere in the legal procedure by the anti-corruption watchdog.

“Being forceful to NAB by any means and harassing the institution is totally intolerable,” Babar Awan added. He further said that the penalty for putting pressure on NAB is 10 years.
