Nia Sharma has a long history in show business. The actress began her career in soaps such as Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai before moving on to renowned reality shows such as Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. However, over the years, the actor has been the subject of countless unfavourable rumours and speculative press reports. In a recent interview, Nia stated that she “did not deserve” all of this.
Nia stated that she has seen some crass and false things published about her over the years, which has led to people associating her with a specific type of image that is quite different from who she truly is.

Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Nia was asked who she really is, and she said, “I am definitely not somebody that is so badly written about, I don’t deserve it. The s****iest of things like Nia Sharma chali, dikh gaye kapde, utar gaye kapde, yeh main nahin hoon yaar (Nia Sharma walked, clothes were seen, clothes were off, I am not that person).”
The star went on to say that as a result of this, these are the types of news stories that show when someone searches her name online. She continued, “for someone who doesn’t know who know Nia Sharma is and somebody has to google, you will not see anything other than malfunctions, jo hote bhi nahi (that don’t even take place). Weird things! Especially for the Hindi publications, I am not someone who will say don’t write par itna gand to mat machao (don’t write such nonsense).”
Nia was most recently featured in the Zee5 online series Jamai 2.0, in which she co-starred with Ravi Dubey. Her music video Hairaan for artist Javed Ali’s song was recently released. She also starred in the music video for Nikhita Gandhi’s song Phoonk earlier this year.
