RAWALPINDI: The security forces on Friday killed four terrorists in three separate engagements in Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence based operation was conducted in Awaran District on reported presence of terrorists.

During the conduct of operation, after intense fire exchange, two terrorists were successfully neutralized; both high value targets identified as Niaz aka Ghuman and Zareef aka Shah Jahan.

In another operation in Dera Bugti District, own troops effectively neutralised one terrorist, it further said.

In yet another engagement in Kech District, own troops, while conducting an intelligence based operation, killed another terrorist.

“The killed terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as the innocent civilians and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies,” it said.

Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.

4.2 magnitude earthquake hits Turbat

QUETTA: Earthquake tremors were felt in Turbat area of ​​Kech district Balochistan province but no loss of life or property reported in the earthquake.

According to the seismological center, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.2 and the depth was 35 km. The epicenter was 24 km northwest of Turbat.

Due to the earthquake, people came out of their houses reciting Kalima Tayyaba and panic spread.

7 killed in remote-controlled bomb blast in Balochistan

Quetta: A remote-controlled bomb exploded on a vehicle in Balochistan, as a result of which seven people were killed.

According to the details, a report of a remote control bomb explosion on a vehicle has been received in the Kech district of Quetta, in which it is being told that seven people were killed and many injured as a result of the explosion.

In this regard, the district authorities say that the incident took place in Balgatar in the area of ​​Kech adjacent to Panjgur, the victims were returning from a wedding ceremony.

According to the latest information, one Union Council (UC) Chairman Ishaq Yaqoob is also included in the deceased persons, the other six deceased persons are close relatives of Ishaq Yaqoob.

The victims were identified as Ishaq Yaqoob, Ibrahim, Nizam Didar, Fida Hussain, Sarfaraz, Safar Khan, and Qasim.
