LONDON: Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, both consider their engagement rings one of the best gifts and are proud to wear them.
According to a report of a foreign news agency, British Prince Harry had given a very beautiful 5-carat ring to his wife Meghan on the occasion of their engagement. Meghan made some changes to it and replaced it with a gold band.
Meghan also inlaid her husband and son Archie’s birthstones (period, emerald, and sapphire) in the ring.
Commenting on Meghan Merkel’s engagement ring, a royal observer said that her daughter Lelbet Diana has been suggested to put a commemorative stone in Meghan’s ring.
On the other hand, The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has reportedly made an imperceptible change in the ring she received from Prince William.
The engagement ring that William gave to Kate Middleton was previously owned by Princess Diana, but royal fans could not stop Kate from making this minor change in the ring.
Instead of resoldering the ring band, Kate Middleton decided to add small platinum beads inside so the 18-carat-gold ring.
Royal commentator Melissa Willets said of Kate’s ring: “It’s impossible to imagine any change in the world’s most famous 12-carat sapphire engagement ring that Prince William gave to his wife Kate.”
