I Won’t leave those four yahoos for anything says Karamo Brown

Karamo Brown is a reality television host, author, actor, and activist from the United States. Brown made his television debut in 2004 on MTV’s The Real World: Philadelphia, where he made history as the first openly gay black man to appear on a reality show.

Nothing, not even his new talk show, can change Karamo Brown’s devotion to the Fab Five.

On Thursday’s episode of the people Every Day podcast, the Queer Eye star discussed his next series, in which he’ll continue to pursue his favourite hobby: helping others.

“We just started talking about what I love to do, which is since high school, just to help people.”

“Partly I’m nosy as hell, so I like to be in people’s business. But, once I’m in their business, I want to help them. And that’s what I’ve been doing all my life. On Queer Eye, everything.”

“If I leave me at home, then I’m leaving a large part of the show at home because my experiences matched with my training allows me to be like, ‘Oh, I know what you’re going through. I get it, I see it’, ” he said. “So I’m bringing myself, I’m going to talk about my business.”

“Each of us have been blessed to do other projects,” he said of his costars Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France and Bobby Berk. “Yes, mine is a daily show, but we have worked it out. I do not want to leave those four yahoos for anything.”

“We’re starting the next season very soon which I’m very excited about because when we were just together for the [CMT Awards], it felt like it felt like butter, like warm butter, how we melted into each other, and I’m just ready to get back.”

“I’m telling you, if they say season 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, you can count me in for 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 — while I’m doing my talk show — because they’re aligned. So, if anyone likes Queer Eye, they’re going to like my talk show. ”
