Junaid Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, is gearing up for his big-screen debut in Loveyapa, a romantic-comedy co-starring Khushi Kapoor. After making his acting debut in the OTT film Maharaj, Junaid is now stepping into mainstream cinema with this much-anticipated project.
Despite staying away from social media, Junaid acknowledges that his family background plays a crucial role in securing opportunities in the industry. Speaking to Radio Nasha, he admitted, “That is also a privilege. Producers will cast me even without seeing any public presence. Not many actors have that. It’s purely because of the family I come from.”
Joining him in the conversation, his co-star Khushi Kapoor—daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi—also recognized her privileged position. “I have a lot to be thankful for. I don’t want to be in a position to complain about anything. I am happy where I am,” said The Archies actress.
Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today. The film also features Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda, and others. Set for release on February 7, 2025, the film is expected to bring fresh energy to Bollywood’s romantic-comedy genre.
