FM Qureshi says, “Muslims are being maltreated in entire India”

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday said Pakistan has already expressed its concern on the matter at the international forums.

In a statement, FM Qureshi said the recent statement of the head of Genocide Watch regarding genocide of Muslims in India is endorsement of Pakistan’s stance and viewpoint.

He said situation is further deteriorating in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

Muslims are being maltreated not only in the occupied territory but the entire India. Whatever happened in Gujarat and Delhi is before everybody, the foreign minister added.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan has also presented irrefutable evidence regarding Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in Pakistan.

Earlier on November 19, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held discussion with his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Hanif Atmar during his visit at Kabul alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan today.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Afghan Foreign Minister discussed bilateral cooperation, regional peace and security situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In his remarks, FM Qureshi said Pakistan has always been supportive of the dialogue process for durable peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister said the success of Afghan peace process is imperative for durable peace in Afghanistan.

He noted that peace in Afghanistan is important for peace and stability of the region.

The transit trade and preferential trade agreements between Pakistan and Afghanistan will help promote the volume of trade and investment between the two countries, Qureshi added.

The Afghan FM Mohammad Hanif appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for the Afghan peace process.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hamid, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood, Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq and senior officials accompanied the Prime Minister during Kabul’s visit.
