Osaka-based Science Co. is set to unveil an innovative washing machine for humans, named “Mirai Ningen Sentakuki” (Human Washing Machine of the Future), at the upcoming Osaka Kansai Expo in April 2025.

This cutting-edge device is a modern take on the original human washing machine, which was first introduced by Sanyo Electric Co. at the 1970 Osaka Expo.

Yasuaki Aoyama, chairman of Science Co., expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “We will offer a new human washing machine as a legacy from the 1970 expo.”

The original machine utilized ultrasound technology generated by large air bubbles to clean users, but the new model employs microscopic air bubbles for more efficient cleaning.

It also features advanced sensors that monitor users’ pulse and biological data to adjust water temperature accordingly.

The futuristic washing machine is designed to create a relaxing experience by projecting calming images based on the user’s emotional state.

Aoyama hopes that up to 1,000 people will have the opportunity to try out the innovative device during the expo.

Science Co. has been developing this project for several years, maintaining its goal of launching it in 2025, despite significant changes to its original prototype.
