Hub Dam two feet away from reaching its full capacity

Hub Dam

Karachi: After the intense downpour of rain, Hub Dam is now two feet away from being filled to its full capacity. The current water level in the dam is 337 feet.

As the recent monsoon spell hit the catchment areas of Hub Dam and the hilly areas of Khuzdar district including Dureji, there has been a 14-feet rise in the water level of the dam.

The meteorological department predicts the continuation of precipitation till 31st August. If the current weather persists, Hub Dam would fill up and the water would be released through the spillway.

According to the Hub Dam Administration, the dam is only 2 feet away from reaching its full capacity. At 339 feet, the dam would be full which would store water for two and a half years for Karachi and Hub residents.
