HTC unveil mix reality: The new headset, which will support virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), is expected to make its debut on January 5 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. An HTC executive reportedly teased the launch but did not reveal much about it. It is rumoured to have a goggles-like design with front- and side-facing cameras. The upcoming device will compete with Oculus Rift models and Meta Quest products.
According to The Verge, citing Shen Ye, HTC’s global head of product, the company plans to unveil a new flagship all-in-one AR and VR headset on January 5 at CES. The headset will be redesigned. “It’s about taking all of these advances we’ve made in not only the design aspects, but also the technical aspects, and building it into something meaningful and appealing to consumers,” Ye is quoted as saying in the report.
