Pakistan Defeated Zimbabwe by An Innings and 116 Runs In The First Test

Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by an innings and 116 runs in the first Test.

The Zimbabwean team scored only 134 runs in the second innings. Pakistan’s Hassan Ali took five wickets, Noman Ali two, and Fahim Ashraf one.

Pakistan was bowled out for 426 in the first innings of the first Test against Zimbabwe due to Fawad Alam’s superb batting.

On the third day of play, Pakistan started their first incomplete innings with Fawad Alam (108) and Hassan Ali (21) on the wicket. However, Hassan Ali was dismissed for 30 after adding six runs to his individual score.

The newcomer was Noman Ali who fell victim to Golden Dick on the first ball while Sajid Khan scored 7 runs.

Pakistan’s last out was Fawad Alam who was dismissed for 140 with the help of 20 fours.

For Zimbabwe, Blessing Mozarabani took four wickets and Donald Trypano three.

Pakistan has a 250-run lead in the first innings against Zimbabwe.

It should be noted that Zimbabwe was bowled out for 176 in the first innings. For Pakistan, Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi bowled brilliantly, dismissing four wickets each.

Zimbabwe and Pakistan will face each other in the first Test in Harare tomorrow (April 29th).

After the victory of the Pakistan T20 series, there is hope for victory in the Test series for which full practice is also going in full swing.

Zimbabwe is also hopeful of winning the Test series after the defeat.

A change could be made in the team that won the home Test series against South Africa, according to which Zahid Mahmood is likely to be given a chance to replace Yasir Shah.

The match will start tomorrow at 12:30 pm.

On Friday, Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the second match of the three T20I matches played at the Harare Sports Club.

Zimbabwe had posted a 119-run target for Pakistan in the second T20 international at Harare Sports Club.

Tinashe Kamunhukamwe has scored 34 runs off 40 balls to provide some help to his team, and none other batsmen of Zimbabwe could play any big knock.

On the other hand, Danish Aizi, Muhammad Hasnain took 2 wickets, while Faheem Ashraf, Arshad Iqbal, Haris Rauf, and Usman Qadir took 1 wicket.

Earlier, team Pakistan has won the toss and decided to field first in the second T20 international against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club.

PakVsNZ: Pakistan cricketers enjoy time together after 2 weeks of isolation

Life of the Pakistan cricket squad has finally come to normal on Tuesday as they were released from the isolation of 14 days in Christchurch, New Zealand. The squad is finally free to resume their cricket activities.

According to the details, since the 53-member squad was in managed isolation, confined to their rooms for the last two weeks. Shaheens were allowed to train initially during isolation, however, after 10 players of the squad tested positive for coronavirus, they were revoked by the NZ health authorities.

“52 members of the squad will be released from the MIQ facilities in Christchurch today. One case will remain in the Christchurch quarantine facility until fully recovered. One person repeatedly tested negative and is being released from the Auckland quarantine facility today, where they had been transferred on arrival as a precaution,” said an official of the New Zealand health ministry.

The team left the quarantine facility soon after the announcement to spend some time in the hotel before flying to Queenstown to play.
