LAHORE: Justice Aalia Neelum was sworn in as the first woman Chief Justice of Lahore High Court(LHC) on Thursday.
Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum was attended by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister for Law Azam Nazir Tarar, judges, former judges, registrar of Lahore High Court, law officers and administrative officers.
Governor Punjab Saleem Haider administered the oath to Justice Aalia Neelum and congratulated her on assuming office.
Chief Justice Lahore High Court Aalia Neelum reached the Lahore High Court after taking oath where she was presented a guard of honor by the police force.
Justice Aalia Neelum is the first woman Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, her career spans more than 2 decades. She started her legal career in 1996 and established herself as the best lawyer in a short span of time.
Justice Aalia Neelum has special expertise in Constitution, Law, White Collar Crime, Civil, Criminal, Anti Terrorism Laws, NAB and Banking Crimes.
Justice Aalia Neelum was appointed as an Additional Judge of Lahore High Court in 2013 and was sworn in as a permanent judge on 16 March 2015. She has delivered 203 landmark judgments as a judge.
