ATC to indict PTI founder and other suspects on Nov 8

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) founder will be indicted on November 8 in May 9 and General Headquarters(GHQ) attack case.

The anti-terrorism court of Islamabad heard the May 9 incidents and the GHQ attack case.

The process of distribution of challan copies to all the accused was completed in the anti-terrorism court today.

After which Judge Amjad Ali Shah fixed the next hearing in Adiala Jail and said that all the accused including PTI founder will be charged on November 8.

Later, the special ATC court adjourned the hearing till November 8.

On the other hand, other cases of May 9, including the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attack, were heard in the Anti-Terrorism Court.

Interim bail hearings of PTI leaders and workers were heard, Umar Ayub, Zain Qureshi, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan filed a waiver application.

It was stated in the application that Umar Ayub has gone for appearance at ATC Rawalpindi and ATC Faisalabad, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan have gone for appearance at ATC Islamabad and Zain Qureshi has gone for appearance at ATC Rawalpindi.

Police arrest PTI founder in GHQ attack case

ISLAMABAD: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) was also arrested in the General Headquarters(GHQ) attack case on May 09.

Judge Malik Ejaz of the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case in which the PTI founder was summoned to the court, but the jail authorities refused to produce him, after which his appearance was ensured through a video link.

During the hearing, SHO R.A Bazar Police Station requested a physical remand of Imran Khan, which was rejected by the court.

The court said that all the cases related to May 9 in which Imran Khan is named will be investigated in Adiala Jail.
