Karachi Seaview closed For Public during Eid holidays

Seaview road in Karachi has been closed for the public ahead of Eid Al-Adha.

Police have devised a plan to keep people from heading to the Seaview beach in Karachi during the Eid holidays.

According to the plan, two pickets will be set up, one at Ittehad Road near Ayesha Masjid while the second near Bilawal House with motorcycle squads to patrol the area to implement the limitation.

50 policemen will be deployed at different spots in addition to 150 personnel who will perform duties along the Seaview road.

SSP South Zubair Nazir said citizens who live in the areas in the vicinity of the Seaview will be permitted entry.

Earlier, the National Command And Operation Centre (NCOC) had said that over 16.7 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far ahead of Eid Al-Adha 2021.

According to the NCOC, so far over 16.7 million doses have been administered nationwide as it also began administration of Moderna COVID vaccine at Islamabad mass vaccination centre.

The decision-making body for COVID-19 in the country further issued guidelines for Eid Al Adha, directing the concerned authorities to assure that cattle markets are established outside the cities to curb the virus spread.

“A complete ban will remain in place on the sale of sacrificial animals within the premises of cities,” it said. “The staffers and the traders at the cattle market should be vaccinated.”

The body further conveyed that a team headed by DG NCOC visited Gilgit Baltistan to review the vaccination process.

Sindh Govt. Directs Disbursement Of Salaries, pensions Before Eid Al-Adha

Ahead of the religious occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the Sindh government has directed to distribute the salaries and pensions for the current month on July 16.

In a notification issued by the Sindh finance ministry, the concerned departments and authorities have been asked to ensure disbursement of salaries and pensions by July 16.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that there will be no chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhaj 1442 AH on the evening of July 10 i.e. 29th of Ziquad (Saturday).

The new moon of Zilhaj, 1442 AH will be shown on crossing conjunction point at 06:18 Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on 10-07-2021 (Saturday), the weather department said in a statement.

According to astronomical parameters, there is no chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhaj, 1442 AH on the evening of 10-07-2021 i.e. on 29th of Ziquad, 1442 AH.

The crescent of Zilhaj will most likely be sighted on Sunday evening, July 11. Thus the Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), which is being celebrated on 10 Zilhaj, will fall on Wednesday (July 21).
