Diriliş Ertuğrul Huseyin OZAY passes away

Trurkish actor Huseyin OZAY, the Korkut Bey of Diriliş Ertuğrul has passed away. Esra Bilgic announced the death of Hüseyin Özay on Twitter.

Sharing the sad news Esra wrote, “Sad News for All Dirilis Ertugrul Fans. The actor Huseyin OZAY who played KORKUT BEY(brother of Hayme Ana) is passed away. Rest In Peace #ertuğrulghazi.”

Sources said that the funeral of the master player will be buried on Wednesday, August 4, after the noon prayer.

While working as a voice actor, Ozay stepped onto the stage with theater in 1980 and then acted in many theaters, TV series, and movies.

Hüseyin Özay was born on January 1, 1959, in Samsun Vezirköprü, started to study theatre by writing to Samsun Municipality conservatory.

New episodes of Dirilis: Ertugrul to broadcast throughout Ramadan

Good news for all the Dirilis: Ertugrul fans! New episodes of the historic Turkish series will be aired throughout Ramadan on Pakistan Television (PTV), PTI senator Faisal Javed announced on Sunday.

Faisal Javed took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the news. He wrote,

“Ertugrul series is a great exhibition of culture and Islamic faith — an amazing journey through the phenomenal Turkish history.”

“A Pakistani production will be dubbed in Turkish and aired in Turkey as part of bilateral exchange of knowledge, ideas, talent, and content between Pakistani & Turkish entertainment industries,” he added

The drama series shows the history of how the Ottoman Empire was established, led by Ertugrul, the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Prime Minister Imran Khan had recommended Pakistanis to watch the series which will help enlighten them with the golden era of Islam.

The drama series has gripped the Pakistani audience with its daring protagonist, cliffhangers and high production values since it began broadcasting in the month of Ramadan 2020. The Urdu-language version of the show has racked up more than 240 million views on YouTube alone.
