In an interview with Mid-day, the Cake actor was asked about her desire to work in Bollywood after the reinstatement of Zindagi.
“When the political climate shifted, a lot of things that were supposed to work out didn’t,” the actor responded. For many of us, the urge faded with time. Bollywood is one of the world’s major film industries, with several well-known filmmakers.”
“I’d always wanted to pursue Bollywood and Broadway, but the bubble broke for us once the political situation changed.” “I am happy for OTT platforms since they have assisted us in professional growth,” she remarked.
“I am delighted that something that was done a decade ago continues to be a hit,” Sanam remarked of Zindagi Gulzar Hai’s return to Indian television screens.
“The show had a great Jane Austen sense of strong, independent women, and was done from a female lens,” she concluded. “I’m still in love with the character.”
