Ellen DeGeneres weeps as she says farewell to her programme, calling it the “greatest pleasure of my life.”

Ellen

Ellen DeGeneres’ talk programme, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has officially ended.

The comedian sent out an emotional letter to celebrate the final episode of season 19, calling the show “the greatest gift of my life.”

Ellen concluded her speech by thanking her staff for always’surrounding her with love.’

“You showered me with so much love and support. You raised me and found a way to make me shine brighter than I could on my own. You aided me in doing my best. I adore you more than words can express, “Ellen stated.

“To all of you who have watched and supported me, thank you so much for this platform,” she concluded. “And I hope that what I’ve been able to do in the previous 19 years has made you happy, and that I’ve been able to take a little bit of pain away from a horrible day or whatever you’re going through.”

“And I hope I’ve inspired you to make other people happy and do good in the world, to feel like you have a purpose.” And I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: if I’ve accomplished anything in the previous 19 years, I hope it has been to encourage you to be yourself — your genuine, honest self. And if someone is bold enough to reveal their identity, be brave enough to support them, even if you don’t understand. They’re showing you who they are, which is the greatest gift someone can offer you.

And by expanding your heart and mind, you’ll be more compassionate — and compassion is what makes the world a better place,” Ellen continued, holding back tears.

“I appreciate you being a part of this journey with me. “I feel the love, and I send it back to you,” she stated, then muttered as she gasped for air. “Bye.”
