Charles may become a great king, says David Cameron

David Cameron

Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has disclosed that when Charles was Prince of Wales, he had weekly audiences with him to prepare him for becoming King.

Cameron revealed in an interview with the BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg show that when he was in power, he held audiences with the incoming King so Charles could prepare for the day he would take over as monarch.

“I had audiences with Prince Charles when Queen Elizabeth II was on the throne because he wanted to start thinking about how to conduct those audiences,” he said in a Sunday interview.

“From what I’ve seen, he’ll be amazing at that job; brilliant at listening, brilliant at asking probing questions, brilliant at offering smart guidance and sensible counsel.” “I believe this has been the longest apprenticeship in history,” Cameron continued.

He stated that the new King, like his mother, is a “superb diplomat” and projected that he will be a fantastic King for the kingdom.

“I watched him in action at Commonwealth heads of government meetings, and he knows everybody personally, and he engages well with them,” Cameron said.
