Damar Hamlin is speaking out in the open for the first time since his fall in front of thousands of spectators on January 2, when he experienced a heart arrest during a game.

The 24-year-old Buffalo Bills defender posted a video on his Instagram account on Saturday thanking everyone for saving his life during the terrifying episode and guiding him toward recovery.

Hamlin addressed the camera while appearing to be in good health, saying, “As I continue to make so much progress healing, I think it’s finally a good time to reveal a few things.” “Because there was so much for me to handle inside, I believe it was crucial for me to wait and speak in public at the appropriate time. physically, mentally, and even spiritually.”

He continued, “I can’t express to you how grateful I am for all the love, all the support, and everything that’s just been coming in my way. “What occurred to me on Monday Night Football, in my opinion, is a clear illustration of God using me as a conduit to express my love and enthusiasm in a personal way.”

He continued by mentioning a number of medical specialists by name and thanking those in Cincinnati and Buffalo who assisted in his recovery.

He also acknowledged his little brother, other family members, teammates, and friends, as well as his fans, who he described as “truly my anchors and my everything, who never left my side the entire time.”
