Bollywood counterparts, friends mourn sad passing of Akshay Kumar’s mother

Akshay Kumar, Bollywood’s acclaimed actor, has on Wednesday morning announced the dire news of his mother Aruna Bhatia’s demise.

The actor, who was shooting for the upcoming project Cindrella, had returned from the UK to be with his ailing mother. His mother was in the ICU and was being treated for her illness. Fans of Akshay Kumar were praying for his mother’s improvement over the past few days.

“I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence,” the actor wrote in an emotional tribute.

The Housefull starlet expressed his deep sorrow as she shared the news of his mother’s demise. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti,” he wrote on Twitter.

However, several fellow celebs and fans mourned the heartbreaking demise of Akshay’s mother. They took to their social media to express their deepest condolences.

Actor Ajay Devgn expressed his deep grief. “Dear Akki, Heartfelt condolences on your mother’s passing away. May Arunaji’s soul find eternal peace. Condolences to you & your family. Om Shanti,” he tweeted.

“Deepest condolences @akshaykumar and family. Our prayers and love to you all in this difficult time,” wrote Dia Mirza.

Moreover, following the unfortunate demise, the actor’s family and friends from the industry attend the last rites at a crematorium in Mumbai.

Along with Akshay Kumar, daughter Nitara and family, celebrities like Karan Kapadia, Vipul Shah, Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Sajid Khan, and others were seen attending the funeral.

On the work front, the actor lastly appeared in the reconnaissance thriller Bell Bottom alongside Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. It had a theatrical release last month.

Bollywood’s versatile actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia, who has been unwell for a few days, passed away on Wednesday morning.

Akshay Kumar mourned her death via his social media handle. “I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence,” the actor wrote in an emotional tribute.

The Housefull star expressed his deep sorrow as he shared the news of his mother’s demise. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. A day prior, Kumar, who was shooting for his film Cindrella, returned from the UK to be with his ailing mother. She was said to be unwell for a few days and was admitted to the Hiranandani Hospital.

On Tuesday, Akshay asked fans to pray for his mother’s health. “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help,” he wrote.

On the work front, the actor lastly appeared in the reconnaissance thriller Bell Bottom alongside Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. It had a theatrical release last month.

Akshay Kumar Hands Out Rs1 crore for COVID-19 relief work

Bollywood’s acclaimed star Akshay Kumar, who is usually under headlines due to his charitable work, has donated one crore for coronavirus relief work.

The actor donated the whopping 10 million to former cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s NGO for Covid-19 relief as India is battling the worst virus outbreak.

The cricketer took to Twitter and thanked Akshay for his generosity.

He tweeted, “Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot @akshaykumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds and oxygen for the needy! God bless” with folded hands.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will star in Rohit Shetty’s cop film Sooryavanshi alongside Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar had been admitted to the hospital after being under home quarantine for testing positive for the novel Coronavirus.

He had posted again on his Instagram account in which he informed the fans about his hospitalization.

He thanked his fans for their good wishes and prayers and said that he is fine but has taken precautionary measures and has been admitted to the hospital under medical advice. He wrote, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.”
