Lahore Board released Date Sheet of 9th, 10th Exam

  • Exams of the 10th class will commence on April 1.
  • For Class 9 the first day’s exam will be on the 18th of April.
  • The practical exams will start on the 15th of May and last until June 1st.

The examination schedule of classes 9 and 10 has just been announced by the Lahore Board.

According to the date sheet, the 10th class will commence their exams on April 1, wrapping up on the 17th of the same month.

On the first day, eight subject exams will be conducted.

As for students in Class 9, the first day’s exam will be on the 18th of April, and the final exam of the respective class is foreseen to take place on the 12th of May.

Furthermore, the practical exams will start on the 15th of May and last until June 1st.

10, 12 Exams To Be Held From June 23rd-29th: NCOC

The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) announced on Saturday that the exams for classes 10 and 12 will be held from June 23 to July 29.

The decision was made during the NCOC meeting, which was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar. The body expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s present coronavirus condition.

The provinces can begin preparatory sessions for classes 10 and 12 on May 31, but they must be conducted on alternate days and with coronavirus SOPs intact, as per the forum.

The NCOC, which made vaccination necessary for teachers and other educational institution workers, said that the inoculation should be finished by June 10 in order to prevent the spread of the disease during examinations.

The forum has allowed walk-in vaccinations for teachers and other workers over the age of 18, who may get vaccinated at the nearest medical facility.

O Level Exams To Be Held From July 26:

Federal Minister Education Shafqat Mahmood had made a new announcement regarding O-level exams via Twitter.

As per the details, the British Council is being issued a special No-objection certificate (NOC) to hold special O-level exams from July 26 to August 6.

He tweeted,

“This will facilitate O-level students to start A level or FA/Fsc from September. This kind of exam in July is unprecedented and I am happy that Cambridge is arranging it.”

The federal minister expressed his concerns over the disturbed education system across Pakistan due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He wrote,

“This pandemic has created immense difficulties in all walks of life but especially in education. We have been taking difficult decisions to ensure that education/ learning continues. Every decision has pros and cons but for us the interest/welfare of students is always paramount”

Karachi Board To Issue Admit Cards For Classes 9, 10 From May 31st

BSEK to issue admit cards

On Friday, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced that it will be issuing regular admit cards of the ninth and matric students for upcoming board examinations.

Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, BSEK Chairman, said that Science and General group’s admit card will be issued from May 31 onwards.

“Admit cards of science and general group’s regular candidates are being issued right now. The date for issuance of admit cards for private candidates will be announced later,” said the chairman.

Shah said that on the scheduled dates, schools’ heads or their representative can collect students’ admit cards with an authorization letter and their CNIC copy or their office cards.

Admit cards can be collected from 9:30 am onwards till 1:00 pm from the conference hall located on the first floor from block B of Matric Board’s office.

Schools located in New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Gulberg, Liaquatabad can collect the cards on May 31; while schools in Jamshed Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal can do so on June 1. The schools located in Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Bin Qasim, Landhi, Korangi can collect on June 3; schools in Saddar and Lyari will be able to collect the admit cards on June 3.

Schools’ heads from Kemari, Orangi, Site, Baldia, and Gadap can collect the admit cards of their students’ on June 4.

BSEK urged everyone to wear a mask and follow all the COVID-19 SOPs before coming to collect the admit cards.

Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had decided in principle that board exams across the country will be held this year amid the third wave of novel coronavirus.

According to the details, the decision was taken in an NCOC meeting held in Islamabad with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the chair.

The health ministry officials briefed the participants of the meeting about the current situation of Covid-19 in the country. However, the NCOC has decided to refer the matter of re-opening the educational institutes to the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC).

All educational institutions across the country were closed earlier this month till May 23 to contain the spread of Covid-19.

According to sources, the IPMEC will hold its meeting before May 23 and in the first phase, schools would be open for students of classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th.

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood on Thursday said that government will give priority to exams for grades 12 and 10 followed by grades 11 and 9.
