BHC orders to close case against Shahbaz Gill

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) has ordered to close of the case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill registered in Killa Abdullah.

Balochistan High Court Judge Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch heard the petition for the quashing of the case registered against Shahbaz Gill for his statement against institutions.

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill’s case was followed by Syed Iqbal Shah Advocate, Shams Rind Advocate, and others of the Insaf Lawyer Forum.

Shahbaz Gill’s lawyer Iqbal Shah Advocate told the court that like Senator Azam Swati, an FIR was filed against Shahbaz Gill in Balochistan, and a petition has been submitted in the Balochistan High Court today to quash it.

The court remarked how the Killa Abdullah case was classified as a single case, the Supreme Court judges that there cannot be two cases of the same incident.

The court, while pronouncing its verdict, ordered to close the case registered against PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in the Killa Abdullah district of Balochistan.

It should be noted that the Balochistan Police had summoned PTI leader Shehbaz Gill in connection with the sedition case filed in Killa Abdullah.

According to the police, the First Information Report (FIR) filed against PTI leader Shahbaz Gill contained seven provisions of the PECA Act.

On the other hand, Syed Iqbal Shah, the lawyer of PTI leader Shehbaz Gul, while talking to Bol News, said that the High Court of Balochistan has fulfilled the demands of justice by closing the baseless cases for the first time.
