QUETTA: The death toll in Balochistan has risen up to more than 325 due to floods and epidemics spread across the province. In the last 24 hours, 02 people were reported dead, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a report on Tuesday.

According to the data shared by PDMA, billions of worth of wheat and other crops have been destroyed due to flash floods and rains.

Moreover, 172 people had serious or minor injuries. Of the wounded people, 91 men, 39 women, and 45 children faced injuries, according to PDMA stats.

As per the details, 65,000 houses were completely demolished and 120,000 were minorly affected due to floods. A 1500 km long highway road was also affected due to floods.

Furthermore,  more than 4,000 solar plates, tube wells, and borings were also affected or destroyed due to flash floods. A vast area of Standing crops of 900,000 acres of land was also destroyed which has caused a shortage of food in the province.

QUETTA: The death toll in Balochistan has risen up to more than 300 due to floods and epidemics spread across the province, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a report on Wednesday.

According to the data shared by PDMA, billions of worth of wheat and other crops have been destroyed due to flash floods and rains. The death toll has surged to 301 where 138 men, 73 women, and 90 children lost their lives.

Moreover, 172 people had serious or minor injuries. Of the wounded people, 91 men, 39 women, and 45 children faced injuries, according to PDMA stats.

As per the details, 65,000 houses were completely demolished or minorly affected due to floods. A 1500 km long highway road was also affected due to floods.

Furthermore, solar plates, tube wells, and borings were also affected or destroyed due to flash floods. A vast area of Standing crops of 200,811 acres of land was also destroyed which has caused a shortage of food in the province.

QUETTA: Catastrophic torrential rains in Balochistan have taken the lives of 250 people throughout the province. In the last 24 hours, floods in different districts have claimed 6 lives, according to a report released by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Tuesday.

According to the PDMA statistics, the death ratio of women and children is higher than that of males. According to the report, 177 men, 57 women, and 73 children perished as a result of the excessive rains.

As per the details, the deaths occurred in Quetta, Bolan, Zhob, Daki, Khuzdar, Kohlo, Kech, Mastong, Hartnai, Qila Saif Ullah, and Sibbi. 110 people were injured or suffered minor injuries as a result of the torrential rains. According to the PDMA report, 59 men, 14 women, and 37 children faced injuries.

 

In flood-hit areas, the infrastructure, including buildings, houses, and other shelters, is destroyed or damaged. The stats in the PDMA report show that around 61,488 residential homes and buildings were affected by floods.

According to the PDMA report released, urban floods in the province destroyed or damaged 6068 dwellings. Rains have also seriously impacted six separate routes totaling 1000 kilometers. At different flood-hit places, 18 bridges were damaged. The rains also killed 145,936 cattle, according to the study.
