The success of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent movie, Pathaan, is “strictly personal,” he said in a statement after thanking the public for their support. Shah Rukh added that it should be taken personally while adding that “making people happy and entertaining them is our business” on Twitter. He also remarked that ‘hard work, devotion and trust is still alive’ as he praised the Pathaan team as well as his followers.
“It’s not the business…totally it’s personal,” Shah Rukh penned. It’s our job to make people laugh and have fun, and if we don’t take it personally, it won’t work. Thank you to everyone who supported Pathaan, worked on the movie, and demonstrated ki mehnat lagan aur bharosa abhi Zinda Hai (hard work, dedication and trust are still alive). Jai Hind.

Recently, Shah Rukh’s movie surpassed Baahubali 2 to become the highest-grossing Hindi movie ever. Taran Adarsh, a trade expert, posted on Twitter, “Pathaan [Week 5] in Tamil, Telugu, and Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thu: 2 lacs, Sat: 3 lacs, Sun: 5 lacs, and Fri: 2 lacs. Overall: 18.24 crore. NOTICE: #Pathaan #Hindi #Tamil #Telugu *combined* business: $528.29 cr.” The total lifetime revenue for Baahubali 2 in Hindi was 510.99 crore.
Pathaan also features John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana in addition to Shah Rukh. The movie centers on the titular spy (Shah Rukh), who emerges from exile in order to prevent terrorist organization Outfit X from attacking India in a devastating manner. Pathaan, which debuted on January 25th,
Shah Rukh’s forthcoming action movie Jawan, directed by Atlee, is scheduled to open in theaters on June 2, 2023. In addition to this, he is slated to star alongside Taapsee Pannu in filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film Dunki. In December of this year, the movie will be released in theaters.
