Armeena Rana Khan, a Pakistani-Canadian model and actress, recently shared the terrifying news of her family’s tragic car accident on Instagram. Luckily, they escaped unharmed after a truck struck their car.

In her Instagram story, Armeena recounted the terrifying experience, stating, “We just nearly died. A truck hit our little car. I live to tell the tale, we are not hurt Alhamdulillah. I can’t stop shaking.” She also posted a photo of their damaged car, emphasizing the gravity of the incident. “The truck hit on Amelie’s (her daughter) side too. I said a prayer for protection hence we are alive right now,” she added.

Armeena expressed gratitude for the support from her fans, saying, “I wanted to thank you all for your kind and heartwarming messages. We are all okay, I don’t know how but we are. Israel’s retaliatory attacks had killed at least 2,670 Palestinians.

Authorities in Gaza said that Israel’s retaliatory attacks had killed at least 2,670 Palestinians, a fifth of whom were kids, and injured almost 10,000 more. According to sources, another 1,000 persons were reported missing and presumed to be under rubble. More than one million people have fled their homes in Gaza, leaving behind scenes of chaos and misery as Israel continues to pound the beleaguered enclave and stockpile soldiers in preparation for a full-fledged ground invasion.

In reaction to the rising violence, a number of Pakistani celebrities have taken a stance by taking part in or spreading information about protests organized both within Pakistan and on a global scale.

Actors like Osman Khalid Butt, Ushna Shah, Armeena Khan, Hasan Raheem, Yumna Zaidi, and Mawra Hocane have spoken up in favour of Palestine. In response to a pro-Palestine Tweet Mahira Khan Tweeted:

Despite her native country’s neutral stance, Indian actress Sonam Kapoor posted pro-Palestine messages on her Insta stories. One image has the note, “Half of the people in Gaza are children.” The other was a quotation of Nicholas Kristof condemning one-sided apathy for Palestinian kids, “If we owe a moral responsibility to Israeli children, we owe the same moral responsibility to Palestinian children. Their lives have equal weight. If you care about human life only in Israel or Gaza, then you don’t actually care about human life.”

Israel’s merciless air assaults on Palestinians are driving Pakistani celebrities insane. The escalation of conflict in Palestine and the murder of at least 1,900 Palestinians infuriated Pakistani celebrities. who are calling out hypocrites for their quiet and neutral views.

Amir Khan, the Pakistani-British boxing champion, issued a long statement condemning the public’s “shameful” silence. He rushed to the social networking platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and said, “Nearly 2000 Palestinians murdered in a few days, over 500 children, over 300 women,” listing the tragic numbers.

Parallel to this, Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem put light on the dehumanization of Palestinian victims.

“Palestinians are asked to guarantee the well-being and welfare of their oppressors (Israel) as they are killed, imprisoned and brutally repressed daily is a testament to their utter dehumanization,” the singer of Faltu Pyar said.

Hasan said in another tweet, “If you don’t have an ounce of humanity, your religion makes no difference.”

Osman Khalid Butt, renowned for his uncensored ideas and daring to call a spade a spade, released serious photographs of Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) damage in Palestine and exposed the use of phosphorous bombs in civilian areas of Palestine.

Sami Khan, an actor, was asked a series of purportedly “funny” questions on a talk show hosted by Fahad Mustafa that questioned the success of his profession. Sheikh Qasim, a comedian, implied that Khan’s movies weren’t successful by saying “Despite the fact that you are extremely attractive and have no flaws, your films never seem to succeed. Why?”. Khan countered “No, sir; movies are never a guarantee. Wrong No. 2 and Salakhen both became hits. It’s a matter of trial and error.”

But Wrong No. 2 wasn’t a bigger hit than Wrong No. 1, Qasim retorted. Khan defended himself by stating that the movie was a success. Mustafa concurred with Khan and informed Qasim that “It was a success! Do you now have a plausible query?” Qasim persevered and enquired, “Well, let’s see. After making a successful film, Khalilur Rehman Qamar placed you in his subsequent movie, Kaaf Kanga. That fell flat. What are your thoughts about that?”

Khan handled the awkward and humiliating situation with grace, avoiding and laughing aside the accusations made against him.

Soon after a clip from the programme went viral on social media, other stars stepped forward to support Khan against the offensive questioning. The incident generated a crucial discussion on the importance of professionalism and decency in the entertainment business.

Aisha Omar came forward and shared her opinions on the ongoing controversy.:
