Legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan announced on social media that he has contracted COVID-19. Amitabh’s son Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted that he had tested positive for Coronavirus.
Rumours began to spread about Amitabh Bachchan being admitted to Nanavati Hospital, which is close to his Juhu home.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that firstly Amitabh and Abhishek and now Aishwariya Rai and her daughter Aradhya are COVID-19 positive and rest in the family and staff have tested negative and currently in isolation.
Reportedly, Jaya Bachchan and other staff members’ coronavirus antigen test came negative, while the report of swab test is still awaited.

Maharashtra Health Minister told, “Only Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s corona report has come as of now. Their family members, staff, drivers etc have been tested for the deadly virus at Nanavati Hospital and the reports are expected to come by July 12.”
Soon after the news broke online, a number of celebrity stars expressed heartfelt wishes to both the father and son and wished them speedy recovery.
On the other hand, the sanitization workers of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) arrived at Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa residence in Mumbai on Sunday morning.
Jalsa is now a containment zone and no one is allowed to enter or exit the place. A team of 18-20 personnel, including doctors, arrived at Jalsa to collect the samples of those whose tests are still pending.
Another team was there to collect the COVID-19 waste of Amitabh and Abhishek and another team sanitized the entire property deeply.
