The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Saturday that the national team’s captain Babar Azam has been ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand, which will start from Sunday at the Hagley Oval.
According to the details, Mohammad Rizwan will take the lead in Azam’s absence.
“Babar had a full-fledged training session yesterday but felt a slight pain in his thumb, following which, the team management has opted against taking any risk,” read the PCB statement.
