Taylor Swift‘s 13th studio album, “Midnights,” secured the Album of the Year award at the MTV Music Video Awards on September 12, and she also claimed three other major categories during the event, marking her fourth major win of the night. According to sources, Taylor Swift “equals the record for most wins in a single night in #VMAs history, with 9.”

Swift’s track “Anti-Hero” triumphed in the categories of Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Song, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects. Additionally, she received the Artist of the Year accolade, and her elaborate “Eras Tour” was named Show of the Summer.

With 11 nominations, Taylor Swift was the top nominee at this year’s awards and needed just six wins to become the most decorated artist in VMAs history. In another record-breaking achievement, she surpassed her own record for the most Video of the Year wins. She previously won this award in 2015 for “Bad Blood,” in 2019 for “You Need to Calm Down,” and in 2022 for “All Too Well: The Short Film.”

The 2023 MTV VMAs were broadcast live from The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Around two weeks ago, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato terminated their professional association with the contentious manager Scooter Braun. This decision aligned them with other high-profile figures such as Idina Menzel and, according to certain accounts, Justin Bieber.

The discontent of these two artists appeared to stem from Braun’s actions concerning Taylor Swift. In 2019, Swift publicly criticized Braun, accusing him of ‘bullying’ and ‘depriving’ her of her ‘life’s work.’ An unnamed insider shared with Us Weekly, “Demi and Ariana were upset when Scooter bought Taylor’s masters, and things started going downhill from then on.”

Braun’s media entity, Ithaca Holdings, secured the Big Machine Label Group from Scott Borchetta for a sum of $300 million, which encompassed Swift’s initial six albums.

Swift articulated her frustration in a lengthy Tumblr post, stating, “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

Grande had been under Braun’s management for a decade, while Lovato’s tenure lasted six years. Both singers shared the perception that their manager exhibited a lack of focus. Another insider informed Us Weekly, “Scooter [has] really only [been] there for his clients when they’re touring because that’s when he makes the most money.” The same source cautioned that it’s only a matter of time before he loses even more clients.

Preceding events revealed that Braun had been dedicating attention to his new ventures, assuming an elevated role as the CEO of Hybe America. A source insisted that “Scooter’s team at [his entertainment and marketing company] SB Projects are still handling both Justin and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like.”

Taylor Swift experienced a pleasantly surprising moment during her Eras Tour stop in Mexico, where the crowd showed their appreciation in a heartwarming manner.

At the final show of the Mexican leg, Swift expressed her admiration for the audience, highlighting their amazing presence.

In a TikTok video that gained viral attention, Swift addressed her fans, noting that she could see each and every one of them, even those at the back, during the Evermore performance at the Foro Sol stadium. She conveyed that performing in Mexico had been a lifelong aspiration.

As she continued to express her gratitude to the fans, the crowd began chanting her name, causing her to pause in awe and delight.

Looking affectionately at her devoted fans, she playfully referenced her infamous incident with Kanye West at the VMAs in 2009.

“The way to be interrupted, by the way, is by people chanting your name,” remarked the 12-time Grammy winner as she sat at the piano. “It’s really the only way to be interrupted.”

She humorously added, “And I would know.”

Fourteen years ago, West had famously interrupted Swift’s VMAs acceptance speech for Best Female Video, advocating for Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.” Swift, who was 19 at the time, stood shocked on stage.

Turner previously shared her appreciation for the song by posting “it’s not NOT a bop” on Instagram when it was released in 2021.

Taylor Swift, aged 33, swiftly responded to Turner’s post, playfully referring to Turner’s Game of Thrones character, Sansa Stark.

“Forever bending the knee to the Queen of the North,” Swift’s reply read.

In 2008, Swift and Jonas reportedly dated briefly, and Swift mentioned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he ended the relationship over the phone that same year. At that time, Swift was on tour promoting her album Fearless, and she later indicated that the song “Forever & Always” was inspired by Jonas. In 2019, she expressed regret for making those comments about their breakup on television.

Taylor Swift received recognition from one of her cherished country singers, Tim McGraw.

During an interview, the seasoned musician, aged 56, shared his thoughts regarding Swift composing a song that bears his name. Swift introduced her debut track “Tim McGraw” in 2006, which climbed to the No. 6 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. In the song, Swift recounts memories of a boyfriend that were evoked whenever she heard McGraw’s music.

“It’s something that makes me quite proud,” McGraw remarked about the song. “Initially, when she first released it, I thought, ‘Have I reached that stage where new artists are incorporating my name into their songs?'”

McGraw chuckled but continued to express that the Grammy-winning artist is “undoubtedly one of the most exceptional songwriters ever.”

Later on, McGraw, Swift, and Keith Urban collaborated on the song “Highway Don’t Care” in 2013. In 2006, the Grammy-winning artist shared with CMT about the inception of her debut song. “I composed [the song] during my freshman year of high school. The idea came to me in math class. I was just sitting there, and I began humming this melody.”

She continued, “I associated it with a situation I was in. I was dating someone who was about to head off to college. I knew we were going to break up.

“So, I started contemplating all the things that I knew would remind him of me. Surprisingly, the first thing that came to mind was that my favourite country artist is Tim McGraw.”

Taylor Swift brought joy to her fans, known as Swifties, with the announcement of her re-recorded version of the 2014 album “1989,” which comes on the heels of her release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).”

Taking to her Instagram in the early hours of Thursday, August 10, the Grammy-winning artist shared the thrilling news.

“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you [coming soon emoji]!,” she wrote in the caption, accompanied by an image that appears to be a new album cover.

Swift expressed that the “1989 album changed my life in countless ways” and shared her excitement in unveiling the new edition.

She went on to describe this re-record as her “most FAVORITE re-record” and revealed the inclusion of 5 From The Vault tracks that are “so insane.”

The post concluded with her words, “I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! Pre order 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on my site [cool emoji]”

Scheduled for release on October 27th, 2023, the re-recorded album follows the launch of Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

This initiative of re-releasing her albums prior to 2019 came after Taylor Swift’s previous label, Big Machine Records, was acquired by Scooter Braun. She had initially signed with Big Machine Records, owned by Scott Borchetta, at the young age of 13. Her journey began with the release of her debut single “Tim McGraw” in 2006.

Her discography includes the albums Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017).

During the label’s acquisition by Braun, Swift penned a lengthy statement revealing that she wasn’t given the chance to buy her own music.

In her effort to reclaim ownership of her artistic creations and disassociate from those who sought to undermine her work, the artist has been releasing re-recorded versions, labeled with “(Taylor’s Version)” in the titles. The upcoming version of “1989” will encompass 21 tracks, featuring 5 previously unreleased songs from The Vault.

Channing Tatum Nails Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Look!

Channing Tatum delighted fans by embracing his inner Swiftie at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Los Angeles on August 5. Accompanied by his daughter Everly and her friends, the Magic Mike actor went all out with a DIY shirt and a themed outfit for the concert. The black tee paid tribute to Swift’s hit song, Anti-Hero, with the phrase “It’s me, hi, I’m the daddy, it’s me.” Tatum also sported a glitter heart around his right eye, reminiscent of Swift’s 2019 Lover album cover.

Among the star-studded audience were Alicia Keys, Gayle King, and Hilary Duff. Gayle King shared highlights from the show, capturing Tatum rocking out to Swift’s enthusiastic performance of “Shake it Off.” Interestingly, Tatum has a connection to Swift through his girlfriend Zoë Kravitz, who is close friends with the singer and collaborated on some tracks for the Midnights album.

Tatum was previously married to Jenna Dewan, his co-star in the movie Step Up. They divorced in 2018 but have maintained an amicable relationship to co-parent their daughter Everly. Despite unexpected changes in his family life, he has embraced his role as a devoted father.
