Cillian Murphy, known for his role in “Oppenheimer,” is an accomplished Irish actor known for his versatile performances in film, television, and on stage. Murphy has gained widespread recognition for his intense and captivating portrayals of various characters. He has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry with his unique acting style and ability to immerse himself completely into diverse roles.

Murphy has expressed his interest in playing the character of Ken in the Barbie movie.

After portraying a nuclear expert, Murphy seems willing to explore the opportunity of taking on the role of Ken.

During an interview, Cillian Murphy was asked about his interest in the role of Ken, to which he responded, “Sure, yeah, let’s read the script. Let’s have that conversation. I can’t wait to see the movie. I think it’s great for cinema that these two big movies are coming out in the summer.”

Interestingly, Murphy has not yet watched the Barbie movie, while his film “Oppenheimer” focuses on the events surrounding World War II and avoids the use of CGI.

Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan recently discussed the prospect of directing a James Bond movie during a podcast interview.

In a conversation with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Nolan acknowledged the significant influence Bond movies have had on his own filmography, stating, “The influence of those movies in my filmography is embarrassingly apparent.”

Expressing his interest in helming a 007 film, the 52-year-old filmmaker remarked, “It would be an amazing privilege to do one.”

However, Nolan emphasized the importance of the right timing and creative alignment, stating, “When you take on a character like that you’re working with a particular set of constraints, it has to be the right moment in your creative life.” He further stressed the responsibility involved, drawing parallels to his experience directing the Batman trilogy for Warner Bros between 2005 and 2012.

Nolan expressed the need for full commitment to the project, saying, “You wouldn’t want to take on a film not fully committed to what you could bring to the table creatively. So, as a writer, casting, everything, that’s the full package. You’d have to be really needed; you’d have to be really wanted in terms of bringing the totality of what you bring to a character.”

Ultimately, Nolan conveyed his enthusiasm for the Bond franchise, concluding, “Otherwise, I’m very happy to be first in line to see whatever they do.”

Robert Downey Jr. shared an intriguing detail about Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer script, revealing that it was printed on red paper. The actor found reading the script challenging due to the colour and described it as feeling “hypnotized” due to the dizzying effect of staring at the red paper.

During Entertainment Weekly’s “Around the Table,” Downey recalled visiting Christopher Nolan’s home to discuss and read the script for the biographical thriller. He expressed his difficulties with the script, humorously stating, “I don’t want to complain, but it’s on red paper printed in black, which is kind of difficult, at best.” His co-star in the film, Emily Blunt, also chimed in, noting that the experience was “a bit unnerving.”

Downey further pondered the peculiar impact of the red paper, saying, “I guess there’s something about it that makes it that you forget it as soon as you read it. I don’t know what those colors are. It’s kind of like being hypnotized.”

The reason behind using red paper remains a mystery to Downey and the purpose behind this choice is unknown.
