Three dead, 17 injured as building collapses in Karachi

KARACHI: Three individuals lost their lives, and 17 others, including two women and three children, suffered injuries following the collapse of a two-story building in Karachi’s Machar Colony area. The incident was reported to have occurred due to a ‘cylinder blast,’ as per information provided by ARY News on Monday.

Rescue officials reported that the building collapsed after the cylinder explosion, resulting in the casualties. The ongoing rescue efforts involve extracting injured individuals from the debris and promptly transporting them to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.

Preliminary reports suggested that the blast originated from a cylinder, and rescue teams are actively engaged in recovering individuals from the wreckage. All the injured victims reportedly sustained burn injuries, and their conditions will be further disclosed by medical professionals.

Rescue officials expressed concerns about the possibility of more individuals being trapped beneath the debris. Despite these fears, relief operations persist as efforts continue to rescue those still affected by the unfortunate incident.
